When we first stepped into this project,
there was… nothing. The bank had a solid app for individuals, but for small and medium businesses? Not even a starting point.
The goal was ambitious: create a fully digital platform for SMEs, a space to manage invoices, teams, cash flow, - something that didn’t exist yet in their ecosystem.

There wasn’t just one problem - there were several
No existing foundation for SME digital banking,
Conflicting stakeholder visions: some were skeptical, others were dreaming big,
Regulatory complexities: strict government rules left many doubting innovation was even possible.
Even within our own team, visions clashed at times, adding more friction.

We decided to go all in on collaboration
I helped facilitate innovation workshops, running the online ideation stream for remote participants. We encouraged everyone - C-level included - to share even the “wild” ideas.
We benchmarked leading banks like Barq, STC Pay, Revolut - we studied where they succeeded and where they fell short. Our goal: create something unique, innovative, yet feasible.
We decided to go all in on collaboration

One winning concept?
A voice AI assistant that could narrate the company’s financial health:
“Here’s your cash flow.”
“3 Invoices pending your action.”
“Team member request is avaiting for your approval.”
We envisioned a 2-stream dashboard: one stream for visuals, the other for the AI narration - a fresh, interactive experience for business owners.

We dove deep into the SME context, conducting stakeholder interviews, client shadowing, and market research. With 10+ C-level and operational stakeholders, we mapped pain points and opportunities.Define
Conflicting visions emerged, so we clustered insights to frame a clear challenge: How might we create a digital ecosystem for SMEs that’s intuitive, compliant, and scalable?Ideate
Facilitated workshops (both in-person and online) to generate creative solutions, including “wild ideas.” We voted, clustered, and prioritized concepts, fostering alignment among skeptics and dreamers alike.Prototype
Built high-fidelity, interactive prototypes for the dashboard, AI voice assistant, and reporting flows, incorporating visual & video streams to communicate financial health.Test
Shared prototypes with stakeholders and selected SMEs, gathering feedback to refine flows and ensure the experience was feasible and delightful.

Designed wireframes for the overview dashboard, invoices, and team management,
Created high-fidelity prototypes for the inspirational prototype,
Collaborated closely with the Product Manager, Design Director, and stakeholders to refine ideas.
I was responsible for shaping the vision prototype that would inspire stakeholders and guide development. We used Miro boards for ideation and Figma for prototyping, ensuring every idea had a place and a visual representation.
