About Project

When I joined NerdySoft, designers were doing great individual work, but almost completely in silos. There was no space for exchange of ideas, shared learnings, or alignment. I set out to build a culture where collaboration became a habit, not an afterthought.

Challenge

The absence of structured collaboration meant slower delivery, inconsistent practices, and little room for growth. Designers didn’t have visibility into each other’s work or opportunities to inspire one another.

Solution

My focus was to create regular touchpoints where the team could meet, share, and learn from each other - in ways that felt natural and motivating, not forced.

Process
  • Introduced weekly design meetings to sync on projects, raise challenges, and celebrate wins.

  • Facilitated knowledge-sharing sessions and 2 design documentation workshops, building consistency in how the team communicates design decisions.

  • Built a basic design maturity matrix with the team to set a foundation for growth.

  • Created PDPs (Personal Development Plans) that helped designers think about their individual progress and goals.

  • Established an open, feedback-friendly space that built confidence and trust among team members.

Value Delivered

The team went from isolated contributors to an actively collaborative design community. Designers began supporting one another’s projects, sharing techniques, and iterating faster together. Collaboration became part of the workflow - and a source of pride.
